AMERIN

At AMERIN we believe that workplaces and community life should afford people meaning, a sense of belonging, the joy of learning and opportunities to personally develop.

Organisations and communities that afford these characteristics are comprised of highly motivated people who energetically work together to produce high quality products and services and develop innovative solutions to sustain the places they work and live in.

This innovative behaviour is essential in today’s world. It provides organisations and communities with the capacity and resilience to survive and prosper in fast changing and unpredictable environments.

ABOUT AMERIN

Achieving the above outcomes involves an in-depth understanding of concepts and processes translated from a socio-ecological body of knowledge known as Open Systems Theory (OST).

AMERIN has the international experience and expertise to help clients and partners produce sustainable solutions from the application of processes and concepts translated from OST.

OST states that people, their organisations and communities act as open systems. Therefore, when they conduct their business, they influence and change their external environments, social as well as physical, while at the same time being influenced by external changes from local and global environments. This is known as socio-ecological change

AMERIN NEWS

Open Systems Theory (OST) can play a very important role in achieving consensus on climate change as well as producing climate change adaption and mitigation plans that people from all walks of life are committed to.

At AMERIN we believe that this is such a vital concern for humanity that in 2009 we initiated the Sustainable Future Planning & Design (SFP&D) development program. It introduces business, education and community leaders to OST planning and design tools that can be applied in their organisations and communities to develop effective strategies and action plans for mitigating and adapting to climate change.

To learn more about the SFP&D program and to support those who have been trained in its concepts and methodologies we launched a dedicated SFP&D website called sustainable future planning

This website will also be our main site for all things concerning OST. In it you’ll find an overview of OST, information about OST products and services, current training programs, practitioner development courses, OST action research, the latest published and unpublished papers, OST books and references, an OST Blog, and more.

The "Services and Programs" section of the "Sustainable Future Planning" website is where you’ll find most of this information. The link is: Business Services
